Since 1993, The Jazz Factory prides itself on being a warm, nurturing, and family-oriented studio that provides top-quality professional performing arts training.

The Jazz Factory runs classes for children of all ages and of all levels of dance training and experience. We are committed to providing students with the most up-to-date dance techniques and styles.

Our aim is to foster a love of the performing arts and freedom of self-expression through movement. Enjoyment is our number one priority, however, all children are encouraged to develop their dance style and technique to their full potential.

We offer classes in Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Acro, Ballet Technique, and Commercial Jazz. We also offer ATOD Jazz examination classes and RAD ballet examination classes as well as specialty invite-only classes. We are also proud to be the official location for the award-winning pre-school programs ‘Ready Set Dance’ and ‘Ready Set Ballet ‘ as well as the new, Ready Set Move with Me program for toddlers and their grown up.

The Jazz Factory is committed to helping students develop their artistry. Its audition only Dance Company allows select students to work in a professional dance company environment and the Theatre Company gives performance opportunities to passionate musical theatre performers.

Director, Kim Dresner, has been a part of The Jazz Factory family since 1996. She has trained in all forms of dance, as well as theatre and music. Kim has taught dance for many years both in Australia and overseas.

All teachers at The Jazz Factory are experienced in many forms of dance and are passionate about sharing their expertise. They are committed to bringing out the best in their students while providing a safe and nurturing dance space.

Students have successfully undertaken further study at tertiary level at some of the most prestigious schools in Australia and Overseas including NIDA, VCA and NYU. Former students have also gone on to dance with the Sydney Dance Company, Bondi Ballet, the Compañia Nacional de Danza in Madrid, Bollywood, Cruise Ships and The Australian Dance Theatre.
