Sophie’s love for dancing began from the moment she started her training at the Jazz Factory from the age of 7. It was the studio that allowed Sophie to foster her love for dance by enjoying the full range of classes offered. Moreover, it was through the guidance and expertise of the Jazz Factory staff that she was able to become the versatile and technical dancer she is today.

Sophie has acquired a number of achievements and opportunities through the Jazz Factory such as graduating from the Australian Teachers of Dancing Jazz Syllabus (2020), Receiving the Hanne Larsen Scholarship (2019) and numerous individual and group achieved accolades from completive dance eisteddfod in which Sophie competed in for numerous years. In 2019, Sophie had the opportunity to travel with the Jazz Factory for the Biennial New York Dance Tour to train at the world-renowned, ‘Broadway Dance Studio’. Through this trip, Sophie was able to enrich and prosper her love, technique, and movement quality as a dancer through exposure to professional dancers and knowledgeable teachers of a plethora of diverse dance and movement styles.

It was Sophie’s commencement of assistant teaching which unlocked her deep passion and affection for illuminating and instilling a love for dance onto young dancers.
