Northern Beaches born tenor Nathan Stark graduated in Music Theatre from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 2016, and has since forged a career as a cross-over artist and educator. With the West Australian Opera Chorus, Nathan performed in it’s productions of La Traviata, Don Giovanni, The Cunning Little Vixen, La Bohème, Lucia di Lammermoor, and The Merry Widow directed by Graeme Murphy. He has also toured with the company’s education program, Our Opera Our WA. 


In music theatre, Nathan made his Black Swan State Theatre Company debut playing Giuseppe Zangara in Assassins, featured in the ensemble for the world premiere of Mimma! The Musical, and made his principal debut with the West Australian Opera as Antony Hope in Sweeney Todd. In concert, he has appeared alongside Silvie Paladino in Melbourne Art Centre’s Morning Melodies at Hamer Hall. 


Nathan also has a long association as a choir director and educator. He was a long serving tutor with the ‘Australian Girls Choir’ in Sydney and Perth teaching across all ages from Kindergarten through to directing the WA Performing Choir and regularly conducted at the Perth Concert Hall. Other projects include curating a wellness choir for the WA State Governments ‘Landgate’ team, facilitated a music program for people with disability for ‘WorkPower WA’, delivered the Captivate program across primary schools in the Diocese of Parramatta, facilitated a drama program for St Madelines Primary School Kenthurst, led workshops for the ‘Australian School of Performing Arts’ holiday programs and directed the children and adult choirs at St Joseph’s Narrabeen. 


Nathan first met Kim when they performed together back in 2013 and is very excited to collaborate with Miss Jordyn in bringing Moana to life with The Jazz Factory Theatre Company!
