TROPHY DAY

Trophy day is a chance for all students to perform their dances and technical skills they have been working on in front of a professional dancer. The day is run like an exam day only without the added stress or seriousness of exams. As a reward for participating in trophy day, each student will receive a medal at the concert and certain students selected by our trophy day judge may receive a trophy. Trophy Day is compulsory as the students prepare exercises with partners and perform the concert dance.

CONCERTS

End of Year Concerts 2018

The Jazz Factory holds up to 6 end of year concerts each year in order to showcase all of our dancers, without our concerts going for too long. Concerts are a great chance for students to have stage experience and celebrate a year of hard work, however they are not compulsory.

Ready Set Dance Concert – October/November

The Ready Set Dance Concert involves all our pre school dancers in Level 1 and Level 2 Ready Set Dance Classes. Students will showcase a number of the different routines that they have learnt in their classes throughout the year. The concert runs for approximately 30 minutes. All students will have a costume.

Junior Concert – November

Students in Kindergarten up to Year 2 have their own concert where our classes in Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballet, Musical Theatre and Lyrical perform their class concert dances. Stage rehearsals are compulsory and will be held on the Thursday/Friday afternoon before the concert. All students will have a costume for each routine they perform in.

Senior Concerts – November

We hold two Senior Concerts which divide all our classes from year 3+ evenly. Students who take one class per week will only be in one concert. Stage rehearsals are compulsory and will be held on the Thursday/Friday afternoon before the concert. All students will have a costume for each routine they perform in.

Company Showcase – October

We hold two performances in October for our Companies. The JF Dance Company will showcase all their eisteddfod work from the year, while our Theatre Company will perform a new musical KIDS version which runs for 30 minutes.
